Though Santa Cecilia was officially last Friday, November 22, the mariachis in Los Angeles, California, decided to hold their festivities today, Tuesday, November 26. For those who do not know, Santa Cecelia is the patron saint of musicians, this day is celebrated with everyone, but a special mass is held for the mariachis, where they and their instruments are blessed.

See this link on Santa Cecilia to find out more about this saint.
